Pros

Free food sometimes in the office

Cons

First of all, the positive reviews were solicited by the company. Look at the dates…. Most were posted on the same day. The CEO is one of the most arrogant people I’ve ever met. If it’s not his idea (or the idea of 2 other execs) he doesn’t contemplate it. To the point he’s driving the business into the ground and thinks it’s every else’s fault. So inevitably when his ideas don’t work, the employees get all the blame. The unfortunate part is that this mentality has trickled down into all of the management. Even worse is that good managers have come through, but get pushed out when they provide feedback and try to look out for us. Compensation is poor and they push an equity stake, as something down the line, for the sub par salaries, but the amount they give you is laughable if you know anything about finance. Unfortunately they use this to trick younger people who don’t understand the dollar amount into believing they are going to be “millionaires”. Toxic work environment. Huge blame culture. If you disagree with any of the managers you’re labeled a troublemaker and management just says “you’re not a fit for the culture” Super misogynistic (I’m a male employee). For example the CEO uses an image of a fetus with “pressure points” to describe the company. Combine that with the fact he pitched one of the perks of the “ platform” was that drivers could set preferences for cities they want to be in if they had a mistress, then doubled down with “we know truck drivers”. This was a PUBLIC event where we had female owners present. That’s how clueless he is. The tech doesn’t exist in the way they are selling it, so they are basically lying and expect their employees to lie to sell it. I could go on, but if those don’t sell you on not working there, then maybe you’ll be a good “culture fit”.

Pros

There are some nice people here but few and far between

Cons

The first thing that needs to be addressed is the illusion that the app is AI, it is actually ran by a group of people that are dubbed “Super Pilots” that work behind the scenes to route the drivers and loads. Management (nor truck drivers) care about your personal time so prepare for calls at all hours of the day and night. Mostly because of someone else’s lack of planning. And vacation!?! Good luck with that! The last straw for me was when they made a promise on a rate for Labor Day weekend and then fought the drivers on paying it. Don’t make promises that you can’t keep, especially when people’s paychecks are on the line. This company definitely confuses long hours with “success” and “work ethic”. They don’t know how to lead so they sow chaos and confusion and watch everyone scramble around to clean up their messes.
