Pros

A way to gain experience after college.

Cons

Misleading during the interview process. I spoke to my friend, a labor lawyer, about them saying the average salary is twice what it really is on their job posting. She said that is considered fraud. I was too naive coming out of college to know better. If you look at the past positive reviews, you can tell they are fake. For one, there are long stretches of time between reviews that are negative, yet the positive reviews come in at very short intervals of time to one another. The CEO overuses the term "to that point" which appears in one of the reviews. Others outline talking points exactly like they teach you to sell. Don't be taken advantage of the way I was when I entered the workforce after school. This is not a good place to work. I strongly recommend candidates look at less amateur organizations before wasting years of their lives working here. Live and learn. If you want to work hard (making 100+ telemarketing calls/day) without reasonable compensation, sign up for Vorsight. If you want to be 1,000x smarter than your boss, sign up for Vorsight. If you want to be in an environment that resembles a middle school sleepover, sign up for Vorsight.

Thank you for your feedback. As you highlighted in your review, Vorsight’s Business Development Associate program is a great way to gain valuable experience after graduation. For many of our Associates this is their first introduction to sales. For that reason, when Vorsight extends an offer to a potential associate, there is a detailed description of the earning potential, including their starting base salary and an uncapped commission structure. New Business Development Associates have the opportunity to take advantage of this on their first day. The commission structure is intended to motivate and incentivize our team members to not just hit, but exceed goals. It is also designed that way to reflect the commitment that our company has to creating a culture that recognizes and rewards our people. Our job posting provides an average range that employees can expect to earn in their first year, which is a combination of base salary as well as commission. We have had numerous high performers in the past exceed that range. As we make clear in the hiring process, Vorsight has a culture of providing opportunities for team members to have control over their earnings by way of performance. We welcome driven, motivated individuals looking for a place to launch a career in sales who are willing to put in the effort to make successes possible.

Pros

- Amazing training. I truly feel that I have learned more applicable and important skills at Vorsight than I did during my 4 years of college. - Amazing culture. A group a very intelligent, fun, driven people who I looked forward to working with everyday. Everyone in the office meshes so well. It's an amazing thing when you find yourself choosing to hang out with work people on the weekends when you're forced to spend the whole work week with them. - Great experience. Vorsight allows you to learn about so many different industries. You also build your communication skills and learn how to talk to and interact with C-Level executives at Fortune 500 companies. - Relationship building. Vorsight has given me the opportunity to form relationships with all of my different clients that I am supporting. It has taught me the importance of forming strong relationships with your colleagues, clients, prospects, etc.

Cons

- There's unfortunately a cap on how much you are able to grow within the company. Once you hit Sr. Account Manager or Sr. Client Development Associate, there is really no where to go from there unless a Management role opens up. - Common sales headaches. The industry is tough and you have to be very thick skinned and strong. The industry/position is not for some people and you will quickly learn whether or not you belong. - Base salary is a bit low compared to similar companies in the DC area. However, with hard work and determination, the uncapped commission structure can allow you to make anywhere from 55k+ in a year.

Thanks for sharing your feedback! We love hearing that our former BDA's found such value in our training process. It sounds like you took advantage of the opportunity to work with clients across a range of industries and built relationships with your reps- all things we encourage. As your review highlights, we offer a base salary with a higher commission potential than other similar roles. We are a performance-based organization and while the base salary may be lower, the opportunity for uncapped commission provides Associates the room to earn $55k+ in their first year.
