Pros

I consider this is a good place to learn because, it has no concept of work. Lot of work. Very less leisure time. Decent salary. Best to be a permanent employee than a consultant from Magna. People are kind and helping and very friendly.

Cons

Volvo has started a organizational changes where it has announced cost cutting, lay offs, and no team outings, no cultural events, no recreational activities, no food, it has stopped giving snacks, probably it will soon stop providing drinking water. I have been working here for three years and lot of changes have happened since two years. I had given a 5 star rating for this company two years ago. but now i am giving only one star for what it has become. The culture of volvo has been destroyed after the organisational structure changes. Managers are less responsible. They do not take actions for concerns from employees. Its not a HR driven company. Managers rule the company. HRs a re very slow in processing any work. It doesnt work like a product company nor completely like a service company. Its hanging somewhere in the middle. I only hope it gets better after few years.

Pros

Really inclusive environment and most of campus is already with ABW - activity based workplace (flexible seating).

Cons

Sometimes due to the very inclusive environment, decisions can take a little longer.

Pros

Great team of colleagues. Employee who are focused on ensuring their best. Excellent collaboration between teams. Colleagues who will look past the negative culture and continue to do their best for the company.

Cons

Culture & HR team who are clueless about global teams and work strategies. Focus on how many days and hours are spent in the office, rather than quality of work delivered. "You are being tracked by HR" has become the new way of life with the new culture. Total lack of communication after announcing job cuts are coming, due to awful truck sales and loss of market share in USA. Heavily bloated VP structure.
