Pros
You will work with people that are also being taken advantage of the company so it allows for pretty unique bonding and good friendships.
Cons
- Everyone seems to be underpaid - They are behind on every emerging trend and then put extreme pressure on staff to catch up - They constantly turn a blind eye to inappropriate behaviour on the sales team, just because they generate the most sales. Its not uncommon to be spoken down to by members of the sales team, and no one will do anything about it. - There are constant scandals amongst the leadership team - The company culture is WEAK. They claim to care about mental health and work life balance but the workload is so unsustainable and pushing back is not an option because it is met with more useless meetings that take time away from the actual work. Overtime is a regular occurrence. - Absolutely 0 room for career advancement or development. - Extreme discrepancies within salaries of those on the same team. I was aware of a circumstance of 2 individuals with near identical experience that are earning $12,000 difference per year in the same non-commission role. You can argue many different reasons for a variation but I have a hard time thinking of one that equals a $12,000 discrepancy. - Favouritism is rampant
