Pros
Generally great flexibility about personal time and a true family-oriented culture (leave at 6:00 p.m. and you'll be one of the last cars in the lot); a culture that values ideas and bases decisions on facts and science; friendly people, collaborative culture that is not even slightly cut-throat; interesting work; pay that is reportedly slightly above industry average; new SVP and GM (in place of CEO) who seems to be doing the right things
Cons
Bureaucracy is increasing, especially with Intermec acquisition; management turnover has been pervasive and problematic; some managers do not seem to discipline problem employees well, causing problems for those of us who have to take up the slack; limited opportunities for advancement as growth slows; cutbacks to benefits
