Pros

Great product, potential improvement to patient care in hospital and in home

Cons

CEO makes poor decisions based on impulse and emotions, and cannot be trusted. CEO has fallouts with many top folks, and eventually those folks and all opposition are fired. Senior management flip-flops constantly, and doesn't want to listen to reason or reality. The price paid is by employees who year after year are not allowed to take winter holidays, asked to work long hours, and then get laid off. They will respond to this that such is the risk associated with startups. But at least most other startups seem to value their employees and don't treat them like crap. This company is not worth your time, not to mention there is effectively no growth opportunities for most people.

Vital Connect Response

Vital Connect would like to address the concerns in your posting: Dr. Nersi Nazari, CEO and Chairman of the Board is highly respected in his field, and our company employs numerous team members who have worked with and have been led by Dr. Nazari at multiple companies over decades. The company focus is to disrupt an existing healthcare paradigm. Our corporate vision has remained unchanged in the 6 years since its’ founding while our products and solutions have been enhanced based on market feedback. Vital Connect respects, appreciates, and values its employees. Vital Connect believes in employee health! Our generous benefit package includes 100% fully paid medical, dental and vision benefits to both employees and their dependents. That is significantly above the market average in any industry in Silicon Valley and something Vital Connect feels strongly about. Additionally, Vital Connect provides a free breakfast and lunch daily in addition to the basic break room snacks and drinks. At Vital Connect 40 % of our current workforce has been promoted since joining the company (three of these are sitting Vice Presidents.) This group started in a more junior position and after successfully achieving deliverables they received a well-deserved promotion. So, to state that Vital Connect does not provide growth opportunities would be incorrect. Vital Connect has a fully paid year-end shut down. In 2015, and only in 2015, we had a premier customer deliverable that required a small portion of our tech staff to work additional hours. However, only a small percentage of the staff worked over the holiday shut down AND it would be prudent to state that Vital Connect incentivized and highly compensated this team for their working on the customer deliverables. So, to state that Vital Connect will not let employees take winter holidays would be incorrect. Similar to many companies in the high-tech industry, Vital Connect was forced to perform a reduction in force March of 2016. This decision has allowed Vital Connect to continue along our path to meeting our business goals for 2016 and beyond. So, to state that we continuously fire employees would be incorrect. Vital Connect recently brought on new visionaries in leadership roles to assist with moving our company in the right direction. Clearly employee’s feel that the company is moving in the right direction. Again, thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate that you chose not to remain at Vital Connect.

Pros

This company will treat you well. You will be given flexibility, treated with dignity, and valued as part of a cohesive team unit. The management team are fantastic individuals, and your supervisor and director have a vested interest in your growth and development.

Cons

....However, there is the expectation to always produce and aim for more. Which is not inherently a BAD thing, and if you need help setting those goals and achieving them, help will be given to you *if you ask for it.*
