Pros

A few nice people but sadly most end up either emotionally ruined due to the stress or moving on.

Cons

In my experience, the working culture at Visualhouse was extremely challenging and often unsustainable. Staff were regularly overworked to the point of burnout, with very little recognition or appreciation for the effort being put in. Feedback tended to focus on criticism rather than support, and it was rare to hear a simple thank you. I personally observed behaviour from senior management that felt intimidating and, at times, inappropriate, particularly towards women. There appeared to be a noticeable imbalance in how men and women were treated, with men often promoted ahead of women despite comparable or stronger performance from female team members. There were ongoing concerns around cash flow during my time there, which created stress and uncertainty. On some occasions, staff payments were delayed, and there was visible strain in relationships with suppliers. This added to an already pressured environment. The overall culture felt toxic, with people often pitted against each other rather than encouraged to collaborate. Senior leadership, particularly at C-suite level, came across as dismissive and difficult to approach, which made it hard to raise concerns or feel supported. From what I saw, decisions were frequently driven by the need to say yes to clients at all costs, without sufficient consideration for staff wellbeing, realistic delivery, or long-term sustainability. This short-term mindset contributed to ongoing stress and a lack of clear vision for the future.

At times, responsibilities between teams may overlap, but this often improves coordination and teamwork.

Financial planning during busy periods can sometimes feel stressful, but it helps improve problem-solving and decision-making skills.
