Pros
- Outstanding senior management team that has removed the inefficiencies typically seen within bulge bracket and large boutique investment banks
- Great exposure to very interesting technology transactions ranging from $65m capital raises to $250m exits
- Opportunity to gain deep insight into the business development aspects of investment banking - landing clients and optimizing transaction outcomes which translate into great fees
- The best work/life balance you will EVER find relative to other investment banks (I normally averaged 80-90 hours/week at my two previous firms)
- No politics or bureaucracy or face-time; the firm promotes autonomy for its employees and you will be rewarded as long as you are doing things correctly and on-time
- Great place to build skills necessary for senior level banking roles (i.e. client management, negotiating, leading pitches, etc.)
Cons
- There is pressure within teams to sign up good clients, but I see this as a motivator to stay hungry, but focused, and to ultimately have a great year
- Firm solely looks for experienced hires so fresh graduates may have a hard time getting hired
