Pros

The staff are really nice, but the owner cannot differentiate between friends and employees.

Cons

No training program, "Sink or Swim" mentality, Owner has no management experience, Retaliatory behavior if employees leave

I moved from a large corporation to a small, minority owned company seeking diversity in my day to day work and that's exactly what I've found. Working at Visions Management I am exposed to a broad scope of project and clients types. We support projects in Technology, Education, Financial, Government (city, count, federal), Non Profit, Medical, , corporate and small business. The diversity keep me in constant challenge mode and enable me to showcase my flexibility and broad knowledge base as a project manager. The management team does an excellent job at checking in to ensure I have the resources and tools to excel in every project and with every client. They support and welcome ideas I bring to the table whether they be to expand our clientele, improve our processes and improve our work environment. While the visions Management project playbook is flexible to accommodate the diversity of clients and projects, management encourages feedback on procedural adds and deletes to ensure it is a live document feed by real project experiences. Each project manager owns their project but I never feel I am in it alone. The team supports whenever and wherever needed. On a personal level, I appreciate management's support of my personal values and commitments. The importance of this to Amy Garber is also reflected in our diverse team and her constant check-ins to ensure we are genuinely happy at work.

Cons

We need more PM's! We are growing at a great rate so our teams needs to expand to support all the projects in the pipeline.
