Pros
I came from a large global systems integrator and VIP compares very favorably. VIP has all the capabilities and top tier staff of their bigger competitors, but with a culture and size that makes every employee important. The company is big enough to have all the support specialties, but small enough that there is very little bureaucracy to navigate. Solving problems is fast with our dedicated support staff. The size of the company means that every project is important, no one is forgotten by senior management. Clients benefit because troubled projects always get the attention of managers. VIP staff is recruited from top firms so throughout the organization everyone has very high standards. Clients tend to be geographically focused so not many consultants have to travel full time or relocate.
Cons
Smaller regional offices can feel disconnected from the company, but senior management works to keep communication up about the company's direction and results.
