Pros

I don't have to work for them anymore!

Cons

1. Nothing revolutionary or ground breaking about the product. It's a basic conferencing platform. 2. The product is neither stable or reliable, hence why they have no significant customers or users (up to 80% drop off in usage rates in many cases). Many of the customers they list on their website no longer use the product and have turned to well established alternatives like Zoom or Teams. 3. The lack of reliability is also potentially dangerous for patients. Imagine being a patient on an ambulance with this level of product quality. 4. It's all smoke and mirrors. There is always some great deal over the horizon When you discover its smoke and mirrors and start to ask questions, you'll be shown the door (Just look at the turn over of staff, particularly commercial staff. 5. You get to the point where you just can't bring yourself to lie to potential customers or colleagues because you know the product is rubbish).

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your time at Visionable. Whilst you are correct that there are other free video platforms available, unlike other video platforms in the market, our technology has been specifically designed for healthcare by people with in-depth knowledge of the industry. Our real-time and multi-streaming technology is unique and patented, and it enables critical remote decision-making by clinicians wherever they are located. Like any start-up, our employees often wear many hats, and in the past we didn’t always prioritise customer account management as much as we should have, and this affected our customer retention. Since hiring a Chief Commercial Officer earlier this year, he has introduced more robust account management processes and hired a very experienced Customer Success Manager. Our leadership team regularly review usage rates, as well as customer feedback and support tickets so we have full visibility of customer concerns. I’m sorry to hear you didn’t feel confident about our product and it’s reliability. As our employees are often testing beta versions of the software, it’s true that we sometimes have reliability issues with our internal meetings. This allows us to iron out problems before software updates go live for customers. Many businesses faced a higher than usual turnover rate in the last 12 months which has been widely publicised as ‘the Great Resignation’. That being said, we are now seeing a decrease in voluntary turnover in line with the global decline which is great news! It’s tough working for a start up business, and some people don’t thrive in an environment where the sales cycle is particularly long, and each sale is complex due to the fact that we are selling bespoke solutions, which require clients to transform the way that they work. Nevertheless, our more experienced, longer-serving sales team continue to thrive and forge their way through this complexity. Having said that, there are always things we can do better and we are keen to learn from your feedback. If you would be open to sharing more details about your specific concerns about our product reliability, that would be much appreciated. Please feel free to email people@visionable.com where one of my team would be happy to arrange some time for us to speak.

Pros

Visionable has been an interesting company to work for as a US employee of a UK company. The management team follows more UK-centered practices and culture where you are valued as an employee and given flexibility to do your work around issues that may pop up in your life. Additionally, the concept of making healthcare more equitable and affordable is a noble goal to work for and is quite a nice change from other projects I've worked on before. There's a chance to make a difference with the platform we're working on, which makes for good motivation. The US team is fully remote, the UK team can be as well, but does have access to two office spaces.

Cons

Making a new platform from the ground up takes time and patience. You have to be able to handle priorities changing or work focus shifting. Fairly normal for modern development cycles, but something to be aware of as it can be frustrating at times. Fully remote is a pro, but it can also be a bit of a con too. It's easy to get siloed in to your own little world and you do have to make an effort to be a part of the larger team.

Pros

-As a developer, if there was a need for me to learn something new, I wouldn't be pressed to learn within a certain period of time, but rather, to take my time with it. -The company overall enjoys work hard, play hard.

Cons

Still a start up, so there is a lack of transparency on some items/issues.
