Thank you so much for taking the time to review your time at Visionable. I’m really sorry to hear you had such a negative experience, that’s certainly never our intent! We take your feedback on board regarding a lack of vision. We will include this in our next employee engagement survey to understand whether this view is shared by other employees, and to seek their input on where we can improve our comms of company strategy. You say that people who know what they are doing, won’t do well here. We pride ourselves in our ability to hire some vastly experienced people, many of whom have and continue to thrive at Visionable. We also are in the process of building career paths for people with promise, as a start-up, it is a work in progress but we believe these are positive steps in the right direction. Whilst you are correct that there are other free video platforms available, unlike other video platforms in the market, our technology has been specifically designed for healthcare by people with in-depth knowledge of the industry. Our real-time and multi-streaming technology is unique and patented, and it enables critical remote decision-making by clinicians wherever they are located. Many businesses have faced a higher than usual turnover rate in the last 6-12 months which has been widely publicised as ‘the Great Resignation’. That being said, we are now seeing a decrease in voluntary turnover in line with the global decline which is great news! We have been taking steps to ensure our Values are better understood as they should be truly at the heart of everything we do. Having said that, there are always things we can do better and we are keen to learn from your feedback. If you would be open to sharing more details about your experience with our culture and Values, as well as providing more detail about your statement about leaders, that would be much appreciated. Please feel free to email people@visionable.com where one of my team would be happy to arrange some time for us to speak.

Pros

Visionable has been an interesting company to work for as a US employee of a UK company. The management team follows more UK-centered practices and culture where you are valued as an employee and given flexibility to do your work around issues that may pop up in your life. Additionally, the concept of making healthcare more equitable and affordable is a noble goal to work for and is quite a nice change from other projects I've worked on before. There's a chance to make a difference with the platform we're working on, which makes for good motivation. The US team is fully remote, the UK team can be as well, but does have access to two office spaces.

Cons

Making a new platform from the ground up takes time and patience. You have to be able to handle priorities changing or work focus shifting. Fairly normal for modern development cycles, but something to be aware of as it can be frustrating at times. Fully remote is a pro, but it can also be a bit of a con too. It's easy to get siloed in to your own little world and you do have to make an effort to be a part of the larger team.

Pros

-As a developer, if there was a need for me to learn something new, I wouldn't be pressed to learn within a certain period of time, but rather, to take my time with it. -The company overall enjoys work hard, play hard.

Cons

Still a start up, so there is a lack of transparency on some items/issues.
