Not great - Recruiter Vision Teaching Employee Review

Pros

Most people are really great, helpful and welcoming. Only stayed because of the people in my team.

Cons

Commission structure is awful, 1 day a week from home but is taken away if you don't hit target, no flexibility with schedule, feels like a very toxic place once you've been there a few weeks. Everyone is burnt out, management only cares about the money you bring in, directors aren't involved with the running of the business and you never see them on the floor, KPIs are a joke and the learning curve is extremely steep. You're expected to know everything within the first week, you feel like a nuisance if you ask questions or try to offer solutions.

Pros

Good salary compared to the market, nice offices in Liverpool St. but that's about it

Cons

First of all, micro-management is crazy levels of excessive and KPIs & expectations shift on an almost daily basis. The turnover here is just insanely high to the point where someone leaving is a weekly event (and the company isn't that big). Calls are listened into, mid-management casually swearing all the time and using generally vile language. My advice is to avoid.

Pros

It offers a flexible, freelance approach, allowing you to arrange work around your university timetable. The agency provides a variety of placements, giving you diverse teaching experiences in different schools. Vision Teaching is an excellent way to build teaching skills while earning income alongside your studies.

Cons

You don’t receive the full payment for your work, as the agency takes a cut, typically around £5 to £7 per hour. The freelance nature of the work can sometimes result in inconsistent job availability. Agency roles may lack the job security and benefits of direct school employment, such as holiday pay or pensions.
