Pros

Not much apart from a few friendly staff

Cons

Management in the Automation Team are terrible and all socially awkward to speak to. Cannot provide high level understanding of systems to new staff or support with new systems. Have a strange method telling people how to do things in a particular way yet are lazy in their own work and just because they know people already they feel they don’t have to put the same effort in. So much for lead by example. Lots of pointless meetings with so much talk and no doing in teams just becomes a waste of time. Micromanagement in automation constantly trying to see what you are doing. Use a great system engage to see performance and how people are feeling yet make decisions after that have no correlation. Overall happy to leave a terrible environment with toxic management that have no clue how to manage people, conduct training or support. Such a socially awkward environment.

Thank you for the review. Because of the nature of the automation team being something that drives efficiency, it's so critical for us to understand the volume of work that goes into creating this because otherwise we could end up in a position of driving efficiency in one area but spending too much time in another creating it. The Agile methodology also requires careful allocation of effort against objectives to optimise the outcome of each sprint. This is the reason we need to closely track the speed at which we can automate - I'm sorry this led you to feel it was micro managed, but its an area of the business that requires this level of scrutiny because it solely exists to enable scalability. Whilst we introduced Engage some time ago, we recently made it compulsory to ensure that we better capture things like untapped skills which you rightly mention is something that a growing organisation should be make best use of. It is a shame that you didn't feel you had the opportunity to reveal your other skills and that is something we will look to improve upon. Cultivating those conversations is a critical outcome from using tools such as engage within the employee development process
