Commissions can pay well if you follow the promotions they have. Phone plan discounts at Bell or Virgin.
Cons
Upper management expect you to reach sales goals while they increase the price of the product/warranty, then when warranty sales are low they blame the employees for being poor salesmen. The corporate employees for Bell/Virgin are very disconnected with what happens in the stores and don’t give the store employees the tools to succeed and then blame the employees. i.e expecting sales associates to know how to install a display by tomorrow when they have no experience doing so, or giving majority of our store’s phones to busier virgin stores and then reprimanding our store for not selling enough phones when we didn't have any to sell. Its not a bad job if youre just part time though.
