Pros
The individual contributing employees are great. I enjoy working with them. The work is challenging and exciting. The CEO appears personable, and actually meets with onboarding new employees. The cons below do not reflect upon him, those decisions are made at a lower level, or at least appear to be.
Cons
Wow, upper management is living in draconian times. I read the negative reviews here about management and was willing to give the job a shot because I like the technology. But, after being here a relatively short time, two major negative changes happened that cause unneeded stress. The first change was done over a weekend, and just about everyone I spoke with on the next Monday was blind sided by the change and confusion reigned for the first part of the week. The second, and even bigger culture change was posted on a Friday afternoon. The icing on the cake is the justification for these cultural changes are to improve efficiency. When in actuality they have the opposite effect. While a small percentage of the population may like to be tightly controlled, the great leaders realize that when you let contributors spread their wings, the company soars high.
