Pros

Clothing allowance, having a reputable brand on your resume

Cons

Overworking is normalized by everyone working ridiculous hours here. Work/life balance is not even an option. There is no ‘life’ while working here. No room for growth. Even at a managerial level, you are doing entry level or even intern level work. So much talent and passion is gone to waste because employees are not given any real responsibilities or decision-making power and spend the majority of their time on menial tasks. They do not value their employees and are not interested in retaining their talent and think employees can easily be replaced. This company is full of people who either get here and are trying to leave or have been here so long they don’t know anything else to leave.

Pros

Clothing allowance was nice. But, not worth it. The amount of times you had to wear the same thing in a week made the garments wear out and pill quickly.

Cons

This is not a place to work if you want to grow. The company does not attract talented managers to run their business. They would rather hire green leaders and then not develop them. It is clearly to save money because the stores are so low volume. I've worked in a few locations in the city and helped out with coverage gaps. I've seen someone get promoted to SM and the stock room lacked basic organizational standards (Prince St.). HR does not fully look into complaints even when there is black and white photos of what is happening. Instead the harassment is allowed to continue. I've seen the manager in Meatpacking direct sales away from people to make their sales lower and denied someone sick pay (which is legally required to be paid out). In private she is extremely ghetto and unprofessional. I feel bad for the people that want to grow in the company and then get stuck in the same position for years. Unfortunately, the DM is out of touch with what happens in her stores and stresses her mangers out so they do not speak up. This is not an environment that people are really able to put their best foot forward because there is so much chattyness and sabotage.
