Pros

smart, hardworking coworkers across teams

Cons

Leadership needs to learn to trust their team, reward performance, and stop penalizing those who excel. Rather than leveraging the experience and insight of their employees, senior leadership often speaks at them, not with them. This results in a top-down culture of micromanagement that hinders autonomy and lowers morale. The company lacks a clear and consistent strategy. There’s little transparency around the broader company vision, and priorities are changing weekly. Team/company goals and compensation plans are constantly changed, with no notice or clear reason why. When high performers bring in meaningful business, compensation structures are suddenly revised, commissions capped, or earnings retroactively reduced. It consistently feels like leadership is more focused on minimizing payouts and growth rather than on recognizing success. Concerns about unclear goals and a deteriorating culture were raised to leadership multiple times, yet no meaningful action was taken. While the company brands itself as respectful and collaborative—with endless documentation, corporate jargon, and emojis—its not genuine. There's a greater focus on maintaining their appearance than on creating an environment where employees feel secure, valued, and respected. The company’s actions speak louder than its values.

Pros

Vidsy offers one of the most collaborative, ego-free environments I’ve encountered in a decade of agency work. The work-life balance is a standout—true autonomy with a flexible WFH policy and a great office location. You get to touch a variety of exciting brands alongside coworkers who genuinely want to see you succeed. It’s a fantastic "respite" from the typical burnout culture.

Cons

While the culture is great, the long-term career trajectory has become less clear over time. What started with strong momentum in 2022 eventually shifted toward a high-volume execution model. Frequent shifts in leadership priorities and a lack of transparency regarding company health (including the disappearance of EOY bonuses) made it difficult to feel secure in a long-term path. I eventually felt my skill set plateauing, leading to my departure to avoid career stagnation as the work became extremely monotonous. TLDR. This is an ideal spot for two groups; recent grads looking for a foot in the door, or seasoned pros looking for a low-stress role where they can "get the bag" and enjoy their life after 5:00 PM. If you are looking for career advancement or to actively grow so that you can stay competitive in the industry, Vidsy might not be the best fit.
