Pros

The only pro is the friendships made. There was once a good group of people that were all close, unfortunately they all filtered out and left the company.

Cons

Where do I Start! First off, DO NOT believe any of the positive reviews down below, they were written by upper management who are trying to increase ratings on glass door. They’ve actually had meetings to discuss how to get people to write positive reviews, rather than trying to take the advice of employees and improve work environment and culture! Recently, this company has hired many new people – this may most likely lead to another firing frenzy when winter comes and there is no work to pass around. Let me not get into the managers/upper management. They are either micro-managers or never present, there is no in between. And when a mistake is made on their end, prepare to be blamed and thrown under the bus! Do not trust anyone, because in this company, at the end of the day, everyone is out to get each other. Let’s not talk about the horrible bare minimum health benefits, the measly $20 reimbursement for gym (you only get it if you have health insurance though the company), the unacceptable dental & vision plan (granted HR doesn’t screw up your paper work or forget to submit it!), PTO is below standard and not encouraged especially if you are on the technical team and need to make your billable hours for the year, and the so called “perks” such as the poorly planned baseball/basketball events, happy hours, and the sad 3 weeks of cookies and milk in January/February (they can at least do it for 3 months!) The xmas parties used to be great back in the day but the last year sucked, everyone went home LOL. Oh! And do not go to happy hours with coworkers who open a tab, you’ll have to pay back! Great job with making your employees feel important Vidaris! The Management forums are a waste of time, you basically sit there and listen to HR/upper management vaguely NOT answer any questions or beat around the bush until it makes no sense that the person who asks gets distracted/annoyed and just accepts whatever BS they are trying to sugar coat important issues with. This is an absolutely terrible company to be apart of. It’s not a happy or healthy career driven environment, do not believe the BS they tell you and do not believe the positive reviews, upper management begged their “favorites” to post positive reviews to get people to accept offers. There is no room to move up, and if there is room, good luck! You’ll be stuck in the same position with an inflation increase in salary every year that makes no dent in your paycheck, and an excuse that there is no budget for a raise/promotion. Note to reader: this is a consulting company, every dollar is a profit and goes in upper management’s pockets. Don’t accept the BS budget excuse. Also, HR is a joke, and is NEVER present when needed. What kind of company let’s the only HR person come in late, leave early, or “work from home”? (checking emails once a day or disappearing is not OK) Who will be there to solve issues, etc.? Also, there is NO confidentiality within the departments. They break so many rules and gossip, it’s unbelievable. All managers need to be trained in terms of employee confidentiality, certain things are not for the whole company to know, such as visa status, salary, who hates who, who is getting sued and why, reason for quitting/firing, etc. Oh! And don’t bother to ask to work from home & be prepared to be looked down upon when you ask to take PTO, a sick day or can’t come in due to a family matter. When so many leaders leave a company in such a short amount of time (i.e. CFO's, VP's, Principals and Senior Associates) you know there's something seriously wrong. This company scores zero stars.

Pros

Not many, if any. They have a number of huge clients which gives you the opportunity to see some amazing projects. - will reimburse you for professional licensing costs.

Cons

- The mass exodus of talent that has occurred within the past year due to extremely poor upper management. Approximately 10 people above Senior Associate level have left in the past calendar year, and many more in other positions. - The way the company rubs in your face how much you get billed out at and feeds nothing back into the company for employees. (They are one of the most expensive in the industry). - In addition saying the company is doing extremely well but gives its employees menial pay raises. - Demoralising, disrespecting employees who speak up. Pretending to have quarterly management forums where nothing is achieved. - No focus on how to grow employees. You are left to your own devices despite consistent badgering to want to grow and learn new skills. - Does not want to inject money into the company for new technology, software. They are getting left in the dust industry wise. - Have no concept about some of the talent or skills younger employees can inject into the company. - Will penny pinch their clients and employees for everything.
