Pros

Good pay Nice, smart people Really supportive environment Near the beach Paid lunches 3 days a week Tenacious CEO (does NOT give up) Small company size affords a lot of agility and opportunity Awesome product team Awesome engineering team Strong management team

Cons

Did a recent round of layoffs that was gut-wrenching. Company seems to have a hard time with learning from past mistakes. It’s often difficult to surface potentially good product ideas.

Pros

- Amazing team, great atmosphere. - Sam (CEO) truly cares about the company and his employees' well-being; whether it is by providing lunch to staff every MWF, paying for monthly gym memberships, approving frequent team events (i.e. game/movie nights, etc.), Sam has always ensured that team morale remains high, which is a rare quality in upper management nowadays. - Sam's vision of the company is fresh, and young; he has an amazing eye, and is a creative genius. Coming from big 4, I got used to monotony, and going through the same motions everyday. Sam promotes originality, and inspires creativity. He is respectful, extremely intelligent, and drives this company forward ever day. He is respectful and receptive to ideas, regardless of staff level. - Amazing location to work in, two blocks from the beach. - Work life balance exists here!

Cons

- Coming from the Corporate world, I have honestly have no complaints. The environment is positive, creative, and leadership genuinely cares about team morale. Eager for launch of product.

Pros

- The people. Whats great about Victorious, is that they take into account culture-fit when making a decision to hire w/ a strict no a-holes allowed. - Leadership are go getters, and want to help with your personal growth. - The CEO that has a drive like no other, and wants to win so badly. Doesn’t let the minor fails we’ve had get us down, he brings the company back up and charging forward. - Working close w/ everyone in the company. Everyone is on the same floor, with no cubicles! This is no “office space”. This makes it easy to make social connections. - Location!, location!, location! Finally can have that dream job w/ an ocean view, close to coffee shops, and variety of places to eat. - Health Benefits, for a startup thats amazing! - Agile process that actually works! We hired a coach that whipped us into shape when we needed it, and more then ever are we getting more communication, clarity, and speed. - Eng managers do not micro manage. They encourage creativity, individualism and are void of hierarchy.

Cons

Victorious has your normal startup cons. One of them being lack of experience, but I believe there is a lot to be learned while working for a startup. Since there is a ton of pressure for us to win, emotions can run high and work loads can be significant. However, in my experience if you have a great team that can support each other, you’ll find much reward with each win.
