Cons

-Work hours are bad (9a-6p) -Work/life balance only applies if you live in Manhattan -Senior Mgmt is completely clueless -Cronyism is the way of life here -Entitlement of Senior Mgmt is out of control -Promotion through attrition is an everyday occurrence -Zero formal training -No 401k match -Salary not competitive -Silos built between departments -Frequent rounds of layoffs to save money -Constant, blatantly stupid ideas and demands that waste money and bring in zero revenue

Pros

Once filled with great and excited people, Vibrant Media had a great culture. It was the epitome of what all companies had in this space (advertising and advertising tech). Fun parties, great comradery. Made many friends here. I learned a lot about business process here.

Cons

The original founder and CEO was amazing. Then, they brought in a new CEO and she brought in her people. She was extremely charismatic, and made a lot of concrete decisions, but in the process, KILLED the culture. Unfortunately, the decisions weren't the right ones, and ones that the company couldn't stick by for more than a few months. They couldn't even decide and stick to a decision on what office people would sit in for more than 4 months, much less a real business decision. The company pushed the CEO out, and the rest of her C-Suite. What's left in senior positions now, are people that made it by attrition. No matter how you spin it, growth by massive cuts is not pivoting towards greatness. It's only delaying what's inevitable.
