      Pros

      Hugely knowledgeable co-workers, brilliant CEO, competitive--if not always top-of-the-line--compensation (I was particularly fortunate on this one), SoCal-style compassion and flexibility regarding work/life balance, excellent non-core staff (especially in HR), attractive facilities (including policy of offices rather than cubes.)

      Cons

      Not a ton of flexibility or professional growth opportunities within the company--once you're slotted in to make a particular kind of widget, you'll make that kind of widget for a long time.

      There is freedom to approach each project as you see fit. Strong support from senior leadership.
