Pros

Besides having a great work relationship with some of the people here, I can't find a positive thing to say about Viant. For those who mention stocked kitchen, beers, etc. as a pro -- you're just another sucker behind the smoke and mirror. How much of the Viant lunches and beers do you actually consume? $500/year at most. Are you really going to sell yourself that short for an additional $500? Please go do yourself a favor. Find a real job that pays well and buy yourself all the lunches and beers you want with the additional pay.

Cons

ATTENTION ADVERTISERS!! -Viant is doing nothing more than robbing you from high quality media. They are literally serving your campaigns with no data applied to the open web. If you're buying into people based solution off Myspace data, you're just another sucker. Your company should fire the employee who is caught buying this washed out Myspace data. This data has ZERO relevancy in user behavior today. -Ask them to run a pure prospecting campaign against a CPA goal to measure the quality of their data. It is with 100% certainty they won't be able to drive any conversions. If Viant is selling you on clicks, engagement rate, or view through rate, it's all due to scripts that initiate fraudulent clicks, engagement rate driven by fraudulent bot activity, and out of view inventory to inflate VTR. Don't allow them to use retargeting either because they are literally just trying to steal attribution to string you along. ATTENTION EMPLOYEES!! -Run as fast as you can. Jump at the next opportunity that knocks. Viant is a sinking ship. Don't commit yourself to any huge financial obligations because you are literally next in line to get laid off. ATTENTION INTERVIEWERS: -If you have to consider a job here, use it as a stepping stone and get out as soon as you can. Don't even think about being loyal to this company. They'll work you to death then layoff you off.

Pros

Solid pay and benefits, unlimited PTO (and everyone encouraged to take it with specific policies in place). Inviting office culture with plenty of snacks and food. Exciting product developments that really do differentiate from competitors. Growing headcount and a strong business position.

Cons

Most roles are going to have an in-office requirement (4 days in, Fridays remote). This might be a con for some, but after years of being remote, I've enjoyed being back in an office environment. There's also flexibility I've seen (e.g. leaving early if you have to take a kid to a doctor, working from home an extra day if you're going to have a plumber coming to the house), but this probably needs to be more consistently applied.

Pros

Great office culture. Because there is Monday breakfasts and Wednesday/Thursday lunches, people gather all the time. We also have DashPass for the other days. I also appreciate the transparency on how we're doing as a company. We had an all hands meeting and the founders shared our business results and put our initiatives into context. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The benefits (free for me!) are really good.

Cons

Depends on who you are...we have a 4 d/w hybrid. I actually like coming in but know others would like less. There is no 401K match but we do get RSUs (stock). Their are great managers and not-so-great managers, like all companies (I like mine and like my team). Some managers are not great at setting goals and holding their people accountable to them. Super NOT important but there isn't much around the Irvine or LA offices for food options.
