A mess - Director Veterans Community Project Employee Review

The only positive aspect of Veterans Community Project is its mission—providing housing and support to veterans. The work has the potential to make a difference in people’s lives, and many employees are genuinely passionate about serving the veteran community. However, dysfunctional leadership and a toxic work environment often undermine that mission.

Veterans Community Project is one of the most mismanaged organizations I've ever witnessed. The C-suite leadership is incompetent and unprofessional and fosters a highly toxic work culture. Day drinking, inappropriate behavior, and a lack of accountability are the norm. No formal review process makes it impossible to grow or receive constructive feedback. Leadership's priorities seem to revolve more around their egos than the mission of serving veterans. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you value professionalism and a healthy work environment.
