Pros

- The head of CS/Ops is great to work with. No matter how busy she is I always felt like I could go to her when I needed support - My colleagues were great! Everyone is always willing to help each other out.

Cons

Unprofessional Exit Interview: The COO conducted my exit interview while sitting in a car with the camera off! Displaying a complete lack of respect and professionalism. This setting discouraged open communication, making it clear that leadership was uninterested in meaningful feedback. It left me feeling dismissed and devalued, reinforcing the closed-off environment they cultivate. (Only saving grace is that Head of CS at least took it seriously) Mishandled Referral: I was encouraged to keep a referral warm for the company—a highly qualified candidate eager to join once her contract elsewhere ended. When she was ready to engage, the company completely mishandled her application, wasting her time with vague communication and a poorly defined process. This experience was embarrassing and reflected poorly on the company’s hiring practices and values. I never expect referrals to be automatic hires but I think transparency and honesty throughout the process should be the minimum requirement - not for me but for my referral and anyone that applies. Unrealistic Expectations Around Personal Development: Employees are looked down upon if they don’t dedicate hours after work to personal development and further learning. While growth is important, the company fails to acknowledge that employees have lives outside of work. If continuous learning is such a priority, it should be accommodated during work hours instead of being pushed under the guise of “you’re young, now is the time to invest in yourself.” This approach demonstrates a lack of understanding and respect for employees’ boundaries and personal lives. Founder’s Dilemma Trickle-Down: There’s a noticeable theme of “founder’s dilemma” infiltrating team dynamics. Leadership appears to struggle with letting go of control, creating a top-heavy environment where micromanagement and poorly communicated expectations are the norm. This trickles down to employees, stifling innovation and morale.
