Pros

Verve is a great place work! You get to grow your career as they often promote from within. You will be given plenty and responsibility and the management team is really good at identifying personal growth opportunities. The environment is supportive, collaborative and down to earth. Everyone's super keen to creative quality work which is a big thing there. Would highly recommend.

Cons

Verve is now part of Omnicom, which at first seemed challenging, but it turns out they are super supportive and a really good network to be part of. They have a massive focus on people and their wellbeing, great benefits and a very supportive and approachable senior management.

Pros

Subsidised lunch, you go in once a week, nice colleagues, holidays, big office, 2 mental health days

Cons

Communication is zero and management lacks training. Training and progression is promised but never received . We were told there are no promotions for outreach until April but there definitely are promotions within the agency, so it really depends on who your manager is at the end of the day. You do outreach but you learn nothing about SEO. It’s a 20 people agency but we never got introduced to new starters (very disorganised and no clear structures). Agency meetings got reduced to two or three meetings a year, due to an issue of having to create slides for Power Point. You basically don’t get any updates. There is a lot of secrecy going around in the agency. Also, pay is criminal given the current circumstances (inflation etc). No real company culture. Like the previous reviews said, there is a favouritism within the agency.

Pros

Nice office views, free breakfast, welcoming people, and you only need to go in one day a week.

Cons

There is no possibility to advance because the business only has 20 employees and pays very little compared to its competitors. As for the role, outreach is a dead end. Our manager even informed us that "there is no career in outreach" but there's never any time or resources for training so you may as well work somewhere else with more resources. When you ask questions, you will be told "you'll pick it up as you go along" or "it will come with time" when it isn't that difficult once you learn. As the other reviews have said, there definitely are rules for some but not others and that can be frustrating. If you are interviewing, ask how many people have left in the last year and why.
