      Pros

      Vertex is one of the oldest and most established tax technology companies in the industry. They have a mature, experienced team, but are balancing that with new, innovative talent across the board. This offer s great opportunity for both experienced and younger employees. And they have added a great leadership team across key areas. Benefits are very good. Remote opportunities.

      Like any established company, some bureaucracy exists.

      - Valuable to have a job in this market, and somewhere that historically pays a market rate - unlimited PTO for fulltime

      Cons

      - New CEO is something...concerning. Workforce reduction, replacing C-suite with former pals from previous companies, huge push on AI without the subsequent reassurance that our jobs won't be replaced. Seems like the goal is for all of us to train AI to do our jobs before getting let go. Really tone deaf when us little people have livlihoods on the line.
