Pros

The wage is fairly good for the area.

Cons

There's so much wrong that it's hard to begin. Shift time versus when the product reaches the production floor is so mismatched it's laughable. Hours of downtime and an uphill rush to get everything done in the last hour of work. Management wants nothing to do with the workers - we have an absolute problem of a worker creating an unsafe work environment and nothing is ever mentioned, however, miss a minor detail and they will drag you in front of everyone for a scolding. Supposedly there is a 6 week training period. I've yet to see anyone properly trained for the actual situations that are encountered on a nightly basis. There's never a "good job" or even an acknowledgement of getting through a tough situation. It's only ever a stick and no carrot. I have never received an employee handbook. Not even during the onboarding that can only be done in Grand Rapids. Seriously, it could have easily been an hour with HR (except there is no HR in Saginaw). Better hope that you never need a blood product in the Michigan area because given the support for the workers here I'm surprised it even passes FDA guidelines.

Pros

You literally are saving lives with blood donations.

Cons

The current leadership dictates how all the workflow is managed to a point of over-micromanagement and obsessive levels of narcissism from the leadership of the marketing department. Come prepared to have years of experience and be shifted under management who does not know how your role operates. Though Versiti serves five states, the focus will always be on Wisconsin, where the headquarters is, not on individual state needs. Leadership relies heavily on AI generated marketing materials and work products and goes against strategic marketing methods to support their home state, Wisconsin. While working here you can experience massive micro management as well as zero comprehension to your job role. If leadership does not like the way you are performing to their unrealistic challenges, they will eliminate your position and let you go, regardless of the time served and work produced at the company. If applying in an social media management role with this company, please be prepared to fill several roles in one. Content creation, yearly strategy, monthly reporting, community management for more than 30 active social media accounts, travel to WI and other states for content, video production, trend analysis, and anything they want to add to your plate. Diversity and inclusion has been all but eliminated by the company, which is made even more concerning because they deal with historically marginalized communities.
