Pros

The only thing good was the pay

Cons

The entire premise of the company is unclear and leadership doesn't have a clear goal for the company. I was hired and within two months and my entire department was laid off. I tried to develop systems to make our department more efficient but was met with roadblocks at every turn. When I requested to get a license for necessary design software I pretty much had to beg for it. They didn't even give employees paid figma accounts just the basic ones even in a role where 90+% of my job was design systems. Avoid at all costs you can find a better job elsewhere.

Verivest has been undergoing a significant amount of change as it evolves and adapts to market dynamics and customer feedback. Unfortunately, it sounds like some of these changes impacted this individual. We strive to avoid similar situations, but aren’t always able to do so. Verivest does offer both paid Figma accounts and Adobe licenses to individuals who require them as part of their duties. This issue was likely the result of poor departmental processes, as opposed to Company policy. We will better educate our managers on expense approval processes going forward. All the best, Lindsay | Director of People Operations

Pros

- Verivest offered competitive compensation for my role - The development team seemed open to feedback and suggestions, which created an environment where employees could contribute to improving the software

Cons

- I felt misled during the hiring process regarding the nature of the role. While it was marketed as a salaried position, it turned out to be hourly, which was disappointing and caused initial frustration. - Verivest lacked organization and clear processes, making it challenging to navigate daily tasks efficiently. This lack of structure became apparent early on and contributed to a sense of chaos in the workplace. - The software used by Verivest was clunky and not user-friendly. It hindered productivity and added unnecessary complexity to tasks.
