Pros
Free food sometimes although it’s usually picked over by the attorneys and clients. Even though there are definitely bad apples working here, I met some really great and hardworking people. The location is nice there’s some good food nearby.
Cons
- The organization of this company is a huge mess. There’s lots of issues with internal organization as well as managers who just don’t care so things are let go and problems don’t get addressed. The managers who are decent get screwed because of the weird organizational issues which don’t allow them to fire employees so some lazy employees don’t listen and somehow never get laid off despite doing 10% of the work of other individuals in the department. - Overall the company doesn’t value their corporate team much at all. They love their sales people and their clients. They constantly do events and give things away to the sales team and clients. But the corporate team is not invited or they get the leftovers. Literally. They get the food leftovers from events which is nice to get free food but also it’s kinda demeaning that they rarely are given anything in comparison to the sales team and clients. - One of the worst things about this particular location is that there is some very petty and high school behavior going on here. Cliques form and folks gossip constantly in the workplace about things that aren’t even real. Even if you stay out of the gossip, people will likely start (potentially false) rumors about you. This definitely verged on bullying to some employees which was really frustrating to see and recognize that none of the managers seemed to care about this issue. I was astounded by this since I’ve never worked a professional job that this was so prevalent before. I’m not sure why managers allow this behavior to continue to happen even though they know exactly who the problems are coming from. - Some people are making pennies even though they’ve been with the company for years and proved themselves time and time again. Others somehow make much, much more than they ever should for the work that they do. Be careful that you ask for a high number to start and plan to move to a new company within a year or two because the raises are nonexistent even if you are a star performer. - They sometimes use staffing agencies to find workers so if you’re recruited by a staffing agency don’t expect to go permanent because you probably won’t be offered this choice even after months of false promising. - Of course during COVID they laid off more than half the staff. Why would you expect anything different?
