There is always the next immediate stakeholder (internal or external) priority which overshadows all outstanding or backlogged issues. - Management does not listen to lower level concerns and it is not encouraged to share opinions. - Work-life balance is bad even in the Bay Area. As you ramp up your time, that becomes the minimum expectation going forward. - Working remote is a challenge as a newer employee. The perks are slashed and life is less efficient though you are expected to deliver the same level of performance. - Negative company sentiment among low-to-mid level engineers.
