Pros
This is a highly technical company having a unique technology which is mandated in a certain sector: Watermarking, or secret information hiding in audio/video contents for copyright protection purpose. It surely makes you feel you are working for a one of a kind company in the world.
Cons
Too much regulation, restrictions, documentations and compliance requirements. They think they have something that's good and stick to it, refusing to innovate and make improvements. They still stick to the old C89 C language standard when the world has moved bounds and leaps ahead in terms of programming language. They have been developing a very tiny library for 1.5 decades but yet failed to re-factor and fine tune it into something that some one would call high quality code: computer code that's readable, logically elegant, robust and efficient. I don't know where the efforts of engineers were spent on. High turn around rate for key engineer positions: There is something wrong that they were not able to retain good talents. Management hierarchy in this small company is worse than what you would find in a big company. And finally, this company's one trick pony technology doesn't really work that well.
