Pros

They will pay for your first attempt at a CIPP.

Cons

Toxic environment - while many of the individuals working at VeraSafe are kind people who would otherwise support a congenial work environment, the entire company is poisoned by the founder/owner Matt Joseph, who does nothing other than bully and micromanage his employees and limit their growth. The only “work” that I observed him doing during my tenure was over-promising in interviews and failing to deliver once a poor sucker signed on the dotted line. He makes a hobby out of skirting the line in legal employment practices. Work/Life “Balance” - When I see the reviews and the LinkedIn promos about happy employees touting the work/life balance, I laugh. It is an absolute joke. Yes, you work from home. But I’ve never been so glued and tied to a desk in any office job as I have been when working remotely at VeraSafe. If your lunch break lasts for 1 hour and 1 minute, you will be pinged about where you are and marked in a review as unreliable, no matter if you clock 8+ hours per day and complete all tasks (which are obsessively tracked) on time. I know the employees in the LinkedIn promos and I know their jobs because as soon as I put in my notice, nobody was shy about sharing their true feelings about working at this hellhole. Pay Inequality - Because of my position, I saw others salaries and bonuses and the inequality was outstanding between similarly placed employees and even employees in a senior position making significantly less than employees in junior positions. Matt’s idea of salary is “what can I get away with?” “You can work from anywhere” - Hahaha! Sure, just as long as you stick to your normal hours. Healthcare - just hope you don’t need it! There is much more to the story, but in a nutshell, if you enjoy being bullied, undervalued, and receiving cryptic messages from your boss directing you to read Section X of the SOP on Oxford commas and spending the next three hours trying to locate one missed comma in a 30-page contract rather than doing actual work, then VeraSafe may be for you. Otherwise, run far, far away.

Pros

Amazing people and the best professional experience I’ve had. Negative reviews here are from one individual who was terminated. I knew her personally and she was toxic. People really love working here and in contrast to other consulting firms, the clients love working with us. Night and day compared to the big 4

Cons

Nothing I can think of at the moment

Pros

The people at VeraSafe apart from the President and his followers are great people to work with.

Cons

The President (Matthew Joseph) is one of the most toxic, deluded and condescending people you will ever meet, with his poison running deeply through the company. The President believes in leading through fear and condescension often humiliating and berating employees on a regular basis. Expect micromanagement on a grand scale and often having to explain your thought process by providing examples, articles and summaries to support your thinking process to the president on request and often immediately. There is no trust in management as the president believes that he is always right and as the owner of the company will make the final decision regardless of the impact on employees. The President is obsessed with setting up and documenting processes in SOP's with no intention of following them and instead using them to berate, criticize and scrutinize employee performance. Despite the company trying to promote a relaxed and flexible culture, this is far from the case, you will feel chained to your desk, always expected to meet billable targets with no incentive. The president constantly contradicts himself trying to promote a great team culture while fostering a culture of fear and intimidation.
