Pros

I have the variety that comes with working with different companies without the public accounting hours. My coworkers are great and the training program is excellent.

Cons

Not as much a con, but a disclaimer. It's important to be comfortable speaking with clients about their accounting on the phone, in person or via email.

Pros

Wonderful culture, people who care about people, always striving for excellence

Cons

Small company, not for someone who wants to be in a Fortune 500 where $ is first priority

Pros

Great exposure to industries, software and accounting knowledge. Fun events and lunches. Learn a lot within a short amount of time. Team atmosphere. Nice concept. Great processes, approach, tools and training for how Venturity should function. Expand your knowledge in accounting, teamwork, time management and communication.

Cons

Sweat Shop. No boundaries piling work on employees without regard on wellbeing as people; the more you handle, the more you get, no limit. Leadership is always "busy" and unsupportive. Sink or Swim mentality. The company doesn't live it's vision, mission & values. Open environment under heavy monitoring and criticism. 25-35% turnover.

Venturity Response

While this person presents an accurate picture of the pros of working at Venturity, the cons listed by the this person are just not consistent with my experience working at Venturity. It is not at all a sweat shop. When I do choose to work late the office is almost empty by 6:00 most days. Definitely not a "sink or swim" mentality, as I'm on a team that works together and my Controller is always willing to pitch in when I need help. I have direct access to any members of management and they have met with me often to discuss my career. It's an open environment, but I don't feel constantly "monitored" or "criticized". I definitely feel more respected and heard here than anywhere else I've worked. Venturity has been a great experience, not at all like the downsides listed by this person.
