Pros
There is nothing positive about working here.
Cons
I worked here for over a year. Venture is a terrible place to work. Upper management have the biggest egos and if anything goes wrong, they are instant to blame more junior staff. Take a look at their turnover. Anyone that is junior doesn't tend to last longer than 2 years. The pay is also not even close to being competitive in the marketplace. Within the time I have left, my salary is double from what Venture paid, with almost a lateral move. The benefits are also subpar. Only $30 covered for a massage, no vision coverage, no work cell phone yet they expect you to be available all night. They have insane expectations when it comes to work dedication. I understand working late hours when it's busy, but what is unacceptable is the REQUIREMENT to sleep at your desk for multiple days in a row because work deadlines are unreasonable, and if you leave to sleep in your own bed your job is on the line. This is behaviour that is praised. Which is so messed up. The harassment in this place is even worse. Ask the girls about the creepy guys from the creative department. Calling their female coworkers inappropriate names, asking them out, creepy compliments. It's reminiscent of the Mad Men era. You would think having Arlene as a leader the place would be a place for women to feel empowered, but not even close. She is fully aware of this behaviour and doesn't care because as long as she has award winning campaigns, it doesn't matter what the mental health and well being of her staff are.
