Pros

Connecting with peers within the program cohort

Cons

I was warned in the hiring process for my development program that not everyone makes it out of bootcamp, but the examples I was given were showing up late and sleeping throughout the workday. I was reassured that I didn't have to worry, so I thought that this wouldn't be a possibility. I received my job offer before graduation and informed other companies that I accepted another offer. At bootcamp they tell you that there's a system for your performance: green, yellow, and red. If you got red, this means that you may be given an extra assignment (truly did not think being fired was an outcome). I was given constructive feedback at bootcamp and spent my time trying to implement that and ultimately received positive feedback at the end. After bootcamp, I was unexpectedly on a call where I was told that this would be my last day at Veeva. This was very confusing for me having experienced positive feedback right before bootcamp ended. It was also humiliating because they emphasized connecting with your peers and building friendships there just for it to all be cutoff suddenly. This didn't just happen to me either. Especially after a rigorous hiring process and an assessment that took me 40+ hours to complete, you would think that they would be able to decide whether you were a good fit for the company well before hiring you. This led me to missed opportunities from the companies whose offers I rejected or process I pulled out of and MONTHS that I could've spent job searching instead. I also signed a lease right before my start date that I am still stuck paying for. Given that these were positioned as early career/ new graduate development programs, I believed that they were invested in your success and helping you grow, but this is clearly not the case.

Pros

People in your class are mostly great

Cons

Technically I am a Senior Associate. Day before promotions, got rid of promotion to Supervisor for everyone. Demoted certain people in the Analytics department. Imagine working for a promotion for 2 years and getting great feedback by your manager and everyone in your class is told never mind. They likely did it due to the high turnover - many people would leave post-promotion for better opportunities. Regardless, cruel and unprofessional Poor management/leadership, large blame culture, poor pay w/ minimal raises, high turnover, minimal diversity. I know some women being paid less than their male counterparts. I know the Analytics Services Associate job posting seems interesting, but everyone I know who’s here is looking to leave because it is so toxic and defeating, even when you’re doing “great”. I would never grow my career here, specifically in Crossix.
