Pros

Some very talented, dynamic thinkers in lower level positions. I met some wonderful people who are destined for great things should they be allowed to contribute their strengths and ideas. The attempts at company culture can be fun-- monthly outings, snack room, weekly all-hands meetings.

Cons

I have never encountered a management team that had such a disrespectful way of leading their staff. It is clear that the people in power got their due to their personal connections to the French Counterparts and not due to their leadership or actual skills. It is also very clear that the company is struggling with direction and is still trying to figure out how to do the FUNDAMENTALS of their e-commerce business which is frightening. There have been four CEOs in 2 years that have all been fired by the French because they are forward-thinking, strategic and know the US Market. If you aren't French, you have no chance for growth at this company. The entire Brands Department is new within the past year and there is still turn-over if you aren't completely worshipping the executive team, who are utterly disgraceful leaders. Compensation is below average and you will work hard for peanuts.

Pros

Cool looking office, that's about it.

Cons

One by one, the most intelligent, hardworking people at Vente-Privee USA are being replaced by employees from the French counterpart. The sales team is grossly overpaid relative to the amount of work put in, and the managers of this team have not a clue as to how to manage people. As a whole, with the exception of two or three managers, Vente-Privee USA is extremely disorganized and has its priorities way out of order; too much of an emphasis on culture and not enough on performance.
