Pros

-Coworkers are amazing! Intelligent and driven, but without any office politics. People get along well, and a lot of folks are friends outside of work. -Immediate supervisors tend to be pretty great. They communicate well, with regularly scheduled one on one time for feedback and mentorship -Competitive benefits -Unlimited PTO -12 weeks paid maternity leave -Everyone is very supportive of work-life balance and flexible work hours as long as your performance keeps up

Cons

-Leadership is not always as transparent as they think they are -Getting appropriate pay increases/bonus payouts/etc can be a slow process. It often takes several months to get merit increases after annual reviews are done, and pay increases after a promotion can take a long time

Vector Solutions' senior leadership is striving to improve transparency - have you attended any of the CEO Roundtables? I would encourage you to sign up. Getting pay increases and bonus payouts can be a slow process and we take our time to ensure that it is fair and equitable. Please engage with one of our Talent Acquisition Business Partners if you have any questions about pay ranges - they will be happy to help. It is great to read that you are considering taking advantage of our Candidate Referral Bonus Program.

Pros

It's a job and some of the people are great, remote/hybrid work for some employees

Cons

There is literally zero incentive to work hard or even try above the bare minimum. No real career paths or progression, no bonuses, nothing. Individual goals mean nothing and do not connect to larger company goals. Leadership is feckless and has to revisit the same decision constantly or has to make a decision involving way more people than necessary which means the final decision is bloated and difficult to operationalize. The company goals are not clear at all so work priorities constantly shift to whatever leadership has most recently decided, through a committee, is most important. There is basically nothing in terms of company culture. People don't talk to each other about anything. There is no fun in Teams channels. This probably stems from all of the above, that people do not feel at all connected to the company because they know they are not going to get anything out of it. Oh, and the benefits are abysmal.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re sorry this has been your experience, and we take comments like this seriously. Vector is a mission-driven company serving customers in critical industries, including public safety, education, industrial, government, healthcare, and other organizations that rely on our technology to help make people safer, smarter, and better prepared. We are proud of that work and of the team members who support it every day. Vector has implemented many positive changes over the years based directly on team member feedback, and we continue to welcome input across all areas of the business. We recognize that benefits, career growth, priorities, and culture can be experienced differently by different people. We do offer a comprehensive benefits program that includes health coverage, 401k support, flexible paid time off, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and other resources; Growth Pathways to help team members understand career progression; and companywide initiatives such as Team Member Appreciation Week, Vector Volunteer Week, holiday events, and special commemorations to help build connection and culture. We also understand the concern around shifting priorities. Like many companies, Vector operates in an ever-changing economic landscape. As market needs evolve, we have to evaluate and adjust priorities to keep the business growing, serve our customers well, and support the team members who drive our success. We will not dismiss feedback simply because it is difficult to read. We have meaningful work, a strong team, and a lot to be proud of, but we also have work to do. We appreciate your perspective and will continue working to make Vector a better place to build a career.
