Pros

No podía trabajar.

Pros

The only positive aspects I can highlight were the empathy and kindness shown by the recruiter throughout the process, as well as the support from the HR guys. The recruiting experience and the client interviews were well conducted, which is why I trusted the company and decided to accept both the offer and the challenge. Unfortunately, I came to regret that decision only a few weeks later.

Cons

This is a staffing company whose business model is focused on supplying talent to external clients. However, they lack a clear understanding of what they are doing internally and show little awareness of professional ethics, morals, and sound principles. After I was hired, I realized that what I experienced was not an isolated case. The same situation had happened to others, both internally within the core team and to external hires. People resigned from stable jobs to accept Variacode’s offer and take on what was presented as a new “challenge,” only to be laid off shortly afterward due to poor sales management or a sudden realization that the role or person was no longer needed. In some cases, they even extended job offers and later withdrew them, demonstrating a serious lack of planning, accountability, and respect for candidates and employees.

Pros

Remote work, able to work from anywhere

Cons

The management team has no understanding of the business. They frequently hire people and then fire them just a few months—or even weeks—later due to a lack of clear goals. The COO, Andrés, behaves more like a frat boy than a leader, constantly changing his mind week after week. They are also known for misleading their customers and rely entirely on a single client to keep the company afloat. This makes the situation extremely risky—if that one client reduces their investment, the company will be forced to make immediate layoffs and cut expenses drastically. During my time there, I witnessed multiple employees being let go after just one or two months, simply because the management team was unclear about what they expected when they hired them. In some cases, they even reached out to rehire those same people months later. Imagine leaving a stable job for what seems like a great offer (that’s how they operate), only to find yourself unemployed a few weeks later because leadership had no real plan for your role
