Pros

Client Relations team are welcoming and supportive, good exposure to family and private law if interested in the sector, reasonable remuneration.

Cons

Leadership are inaccessible and highly critical, Client Relations as a function is not valued with no career progression opportunities, staggered hours are exhausting and unreasonable, high churn of team members with dissatisfaction. High-stress environment with little support from HR or other support systems.

Pros

The work can be highly rewarding, especially with long-term clients. Lots of direct client facing work. A range of legal issues and jurisdictions keeps work varied. Never a 'boring' day with little to do. Classpass benefits and a fantastic office building. Accommodating of study leave.

Cons

I am writing this review to hopefully offer some transparency to my potential future colleagues, so they can be prepared. A genuine culture of bullying exists here, unfortunately. Several of my coworkers have spoken to me about fear in the workplace, which I feel cannot be a normal way to work in a professional environment. There is a reason the turnover is so high here, and it's because of the expectation that individuals will work with all stick and no carrot. Limited opportunities for career progression. No unpaid AL options. Unpredictable hours. HR offer very limited support to employees. More concerned with business profitability than employee wellbeing. Be aware that it will look great on your CV, just ready yourself for a tough time when you start.
