Pros

I’ve been with the company for almost four years now and I can honestly say it’s been an incredible experience. I’ve learned a lot and gotten the chance to grow with the company in more ways than one. Rather than tell you what the company is like right now at the time of me writing this, I think it would be more valuable to know how things at the company have been each year that I’ve been here. 2017-2018: The company was still relatively new (only about 5 years old at this point). There was very much a start-up feel to the culture and the vibe in the office. Things were extremely exciting and fast-paced. 2018-2019: Not much of a difference from the previous year. Things were still moving along at lightning speed and there were plenty of opportunities to make yourself invaluable within the company structure. If you’ve worked at a young start-up, you know exactly what I mean. If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. 2019-2020: It feels like we’re finally starting to get into our groove and systems/processes are becoming more streamlined and standardized. There’s still plenty of room for growth, although the hierarchy is becoming more defined and slightly less malleable. There’s good and bad to all of these changes, but mostly good. 2020-present: We’re doing better than I’ve ever seen us. Every single department is so in sync that it’s a breeze to complete projects and meet deadlines. The culture feels much more solid and permanent. I feel like the way things are in the office right now (how we relate to and treat one another, but also the energy and excitement we have) is how they’re going to be for the next few years at least. I like where we’re at and I’m excited to see what the future holds for me here.

Cons

There’s less opportunity for growth to be sure, but I would still say there’s more opportunity here than at companies that are much older and much more set in their ways. Management is great about promoting from within, so it’s just a matter of proving you’re the right person for the job. Other than that I wouldn’t say there are any cons. I’ve enjoyed my time at VHC thus far and I expect I’ll have a similar experience in the coming years.

Pros

The management and owners of the company are posting fake reviews of a workplace that sounds great!!!! It’s funny because it shows that you at least recognise some of the things that might make a work environment healthy and enjoyable.

Cons

Don’t listen to the fake reviews, it just goes to show how management tries to handles things here at Vanderbilt. Here Is the truth to their claims: - NO good way to communicate with management, there is no trust. -ZERO opportunity for growth (this is an extremely small family owned business that favours specific people in the business, there is no room for growth in role or salary) even the physical office space for the employees is congested and cramped while managers have ridiculously and unnecessary large personal office spaces - Vacations are frowned up on and uncomfortable to ask for - HAHA THERE IS NO PIZZA or anything similar to that - over 20 min lunch breaks are discouraged. Your coworkers might get you donuts or celebrate your bday with you but this is separate from anything the company does or pays for
