Pros

A place to work in the growing new Braunfels area if you're in the automotive industry at the dealer level

Cons

Long days, no paid sick days, some insurance, no matching 401K, working holidays, 6 -day work weeks, vacation accrued...but just try to take one, high turnover except for senior sales and finance, one-location dealership with high "greed factor" at the top levels (that's being kind). In summary: Larger dealer groups have a better culture to thrive in long-term and have been doing it longer. Standards in place, policies and procedures apply to all, not to just some on a case-by-case basis. ValMark is a high-stress, high demand environment with no long-term gain for any employee. They will work you hard, chew you up, and spit you out ... without a second glance. They struggle to stay "left page" and will do what ever it takes to stay there. Nice thought, but their way of getting those results from their staff is costly to any employee long-term. Please choose elsewhere, this culture will never change unless dealership changes hands and clears out the big offices. No one person is to be trusted, the internal back-stabbing and grapevine to the top is non-stop and will be used against you, daily.
