Pros

There use to be pros when it was a 12 Month commitment, then the company decided to sell every 18 Months, shorting us one year salary every three years.

Cons

They are declining. Lower commissions and longer sales cycles equal less money. Now they are doing away with the print and digital commission is so small and so much more work. No salary so sometimes paycheck is not even enough to pay insurance. The stress is too much.

Pros

Great sales /marketing training classes. Wonderful support and Encouragement from Sales Managers and fellow sales account executives. If you want to learn about consultative selling and sales techniques very quickly , then you should work at Valley. This is a good job to experience growing in a sales career.

Cons

Vally really needs to work on more online & social media advertising. Unfortunately print advertising is on it's way out and online and social media is in. The salary base should be higher for their AE sales teams. As a former employer myself, I don't need my employees to worry if they are able to pay their rent, etc, plus the pressure to generate new sales business on the first 3 months. AE's experience the hardest job in the company. Most small businesse owners are not very friendly to yellow page advertising people. So make sure you do your homework research before you present your advertising program to a business owner.
