Pros

Flexible, most people are very nice in competitive environment. Last manager was great but it was too late. Good training for new hires with two weeks with one of the best account executives the company has.

Cons

So many issues. Was there for 6 months, had basically 4 managers during my short time there. First manager ended up being demoted for something plus first manager spoke to other employees about problems he had with our colleagues. Last manager was great but it was too late as most AEs started to lose their desire with all the false promises. Senior management makes comment at meeting for the location that he feels that it takes two campaigns to see what a new hire really has. My friend and I are given an ultimatum that we either sell so much in dollars by a certain date or we will be terminated. What happened to the two campaigns? Justification is done by managers saying, "Well he or she just can't sell" Difficult to sell Yellow pages as it's a static technology (if that's what you want to call it) unlike social media, if a company wants to promote a special all they need to do is change it on Facebook, Twitter, or email customers...

Pros

There use to be pros when it was a 12 Month commitment, then the company decided to sell every 18 Months, shorting us one year salary every three years.

Cons

They are declining. Lower commissions and longer sales cycles equal less money. Now they are doing away with the print and digital commission is so small and so much more work. No salary so sometimes paycheck is not even enough to pay insurance. The stress is too much.
