Pros

The Directors are rarely micromanaged, but have no decision making power or authority.

Cons

Run like a business, not a behavioral health non-profit. Employees are underpaid, overworked, not listened to, and treated as expendable. Rampant burnout resulting in rapid turnover. Inability to fill open positions due to low wages, bad benefits package, and stressful work culture.

Pros

Very mission driven. My team is wonderful. Generous time off and holidays.

Cons

It is a tough time to be in the non profit space in WA, especially in community mental health though I believe Valley Cities will weather this and keep those they serve as the focus.
