VACO strives to find the best fit for consultants and projects. Being a consultant provides a good opportunity to learn about companies and add new skills or industry knowledge. I have been a consultant with VACO since 2011 and now have been exclusively VACO since 2013. Over the last four years the VACO team has found me assignments that give me the chance to resolve clients critical needs while gaining insight into varied industries and business solution software.
Cons
Consulting is not for those who are not self motivated or fearful of being independent. Clients on projects look for the consultant to be a trusted business partner who can provide a solution by rolling up their sleeves and diving in to get results. You will always walk into a problem, need to figure it out on your own with little monitoring. Projects will frequently require combining basic accounting tasks while at the same time providing senior level answers and solutions.
