      Pros

      I worked for VSG as a relief and later as a site supervisor after our in house security team was out sourced to them. Generally I would say that VSG is no worse or no better than most security companies.. I found on the whole that senior management were helpful and supportive. As were the area managers.

      Cons

      The relief guards are often not well handled and are are often expected to travel unreasonable distances to man sites they are unfamiliar with, as much as 50+ miles. Then find difficulty claiming their expenses. Many are untrained & unfamiliar with many sites they are expected to man.

      Pros

      Very flexible. Good personnel department that will work with you. The security officer work here is more interesting and varied. Did more than just typical security work. Learned lots of new skills here.

      Cons

      Relief officers could be treated better. The company seems to be reluctant to move its relief officers into permanent positions when they become available. Despite the service these relief officers have give the company, often at very short notice.

      The people made it a really good place to be. Good CEO. systems and equipment were ahead of industry standard which made it easier to do your job

      Cons

      Low salary and unrealistic expectations on workload - middle management coasted because of good, hard working employees
