The atmosphere is overwhelmingly male-dominated, and there’s a lack of genuine camaraderie among employees. What they call a “team environment” is nothing more than a cliché. Their cheesy events are just a way to mask the lack of connection within the staff.
Your supervisor does not have your back. HR is equally phony, and getting through the hierarchy to address concerns is an exercise in futility. There’s no real opportunity for growth or advancement no matter how much you express it—just a dead-end job. My enthusiasm faded after too many tries. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the trouble. Sitting all day staring at the computer (and especially with little work to do) is mind numbing and terrible for your health.
