Pros

A few nice people all suffering abuse from a highly disorganized company.

Cons

Commissions not paid and constantly changing to keep you from earning it, illegal wage practices, disorganized, verbally abused and shamed in public forums, no recognition, no human kindness, rude to staff & clients, poor quality & retail teams blamed & left with unsatisfied clients. Favoritism to those that kiss up to mgt and long time staff overlooked for promotions. High turnover.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, Flexible, Free MacBook, Jewelry loans, Lunches, Coffee, Hybrid, tech-forward vibes with amazing benefits, Raises, Growth

Cons

Took away lunches, Took away Work From Home days. New VP is set on turning the company into a copy & paste department store old school retail environment. Such a cutting edge company in many regards with much potential but the new regime is dead-set on conforming to tradition because she isn't very innovative and doesn't come from that type of background. The CEO is nice, but will turn at the drop of a hat. She has no regard for keeping employees long-term and turnover is very quick.

Pros

My co-workers were very talented, friendly people. Fully remote work was a plus.

Cons

I worked at this company for several years, and the primary issue was inconsistent and often unprofessional management. During a period when I was displaced from my home due to nearby wildfires and without power for two weeks, I was called “lazy” and yelled at rather than given any flexibility or support. This reflected a broader lack of basic empathy and poor leadership during high-stress situations. I was also held accountable for responsibilities that were never assigned to me. In one instance, I was criticized and yelled at for not stepping in to run a photoshoot that senior team members could not attend—despite never being asked or expected to do so. This was brought up approximately a year and a half later and used as justification for a threat of demotion, which felt arbitrary and unfair. Compensation practices were equally concerning. Quarterly bonuses were discussed during the hiring process, yet I received only one bonus over more than four years. At one point, there was also a threat to reduce my pay below my originally agreed-upon salary well after I had been working there, which created an environment of instability and pressure. There were also instances of leadership placing individuals in key roles without relevant experience or team input, including taking over major functions like social media for extended periods. This created additional friction and limited the team’s ability to contribute meaningfully to areas they were responsible for. More recently, the company appears to be shifting heavily toward becoming an AI-focused studio, which may not align with the expectations set for many employees who were hired under a different scope. Overall, expectations frequently shifted without clear communication, and feedback was often delivered in a reactive and punitive way rather than constructively. Based on my experience, I would advise potential candidates to approach this opportunity with caution!
