Pros

Great people to work with, made many good friends whilst working there. Also, I gained a lot of exposure to areas that I had no clue about. For example, I was taught how to build high spec hardware equipment including servers and desktops from scratch. I also gained a lot of exposure on how install, configure and troubleshoot many complex company bespoke software including databases, firmware upgrades, software patches and eventually learning how to interpret several soatware languages.

Cons

Not enough money was being spent on upgrading the network infrastructure. I was employed as the Network Engineer but I felt I wasn't able to implement a fully redundant network that would provide the high availability required to minimise the response time to quickly identify were/what device was causing the issue.

Pros

Laid back and plenty of people to meet.

Cons

Lazy, entitled workers with no work ethic. You get one of two kinds of employees in Memphis: lazy or stupid.
